I grew up in Newport, Rhode Island along with my 4 sisters and 2 brothers. My mother (a former Catholic Nun) and my Father (a Master Chief in the Navy) were and still are the most powerful influences in my life. Having 7 children in 8 years, then taking on the responsibility of home schooling us all, they showed me at a young age that anything was possible! I was always an active child due to the lack of a TV in our home, and enjoyed challenging my younger sisters because I was always bigger and stronger....It didn't last! They started to catch up with me as we all hit our teens, and became my strongest motivators...My youngest sister is still my favorite person to physically compete against, as well as one of my strongest reasons to want to succeed. My first desire to compete came when I was 18yrs old, and saw a poster or Cory Everson. It was a back shot, and a friend of mine said he thought I had the build to look like that. It wasn't until years later after many careers and much personal growth that I stepped up to the challenge. I was 26 yrs old living in Los Angeles, California when I met Mike "The Zipper" Sable who is still my trainer today. He has been a pro bodybuilder for over 20 years winning most major titles including Mr. Universe. He saw my potential and challenged me, which I eagerly accepted. My first real show was about 4 months later. It was the California Figure Championships in May of 2003, and I was estatic when I place 4th qualifying for the NPC Jr. Nationals and Nationals. I did the Jr. Nationals in June of 2004 and placed 10th out of 180 competitors. In July I took second in the LA Fgure Championships, and the in August went to NYC for the NPC National Figure Championships. I was going through some personal drama in my life so my confidence and expectations were low for this show. So you can imagine my shock and excitement when I placed second in my class, and qualified for IFBB Professional status!! And so, after only 6 Amateur Figure Shows, I was able to move up and further challenge myself in the professional ranks!

My Competition History:
Nationals - Figure - 2004 2nd
LA - Fiure - 2004 2nd - Medium class.
Jr. Nationals - Figure- 2004 10th - Medium Class
California - Figure - 2003 4th - Medium Class
